The Saint Charles Borromeo Dismas Ministry is a correspondence ministry with Inmates Housed throughout the Ohio Adult Corrections System. The group meets bimonthly on thesecond Monday of the month in the Pope St. John XXIII Room of the Parish Activities Center. Members are assigned a list of names, usually fifteen to twenty, for them to correspond with inmates on their Birthdays, Holidays, Veterans Day and the like. Cards and Stamps are provided to team members. Inmates have written back to members that this is most often the only correspondence they receive as friends and family are gone or don’t write. It is a very rewarding and uplifting experience to receive such correspondence and know that you have made a difference in someone’s life. Clothing Drives and Card Drives have also been conducted by the Dismas Ministry Team.
If you are intestested in joining the Dismas Ministry or would like more information, please contact Michael G. Coyle through the Parish Office or by email at [email protected].
