The State of Ohio now allows you to direct your annual state income tax payment to benefit a particular cause. I ask you to direct your tax payment to benefit St. Charles School. In short, you decide how you want your tax money spent.
It works this way: Make a donation (up to $750 individually or $1,500 if you file jointly) to the Angel Scholarship Fund
managed by the Diocese. Specify that you want your donation to go to St. Charles School. The Angel Fund provides you with a receipt; file that receipt with your 2024 taxes and the money withheld from your pay, throughout the year, will be returned to you. Check how much state income tax you pay for 2024. Use that figure to gauge how large a donation you can make (not exceeding $750 or $1,500 jointly).
You can even stretch your contribution into smaller, monthly payments over the year.
ANGEL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
You can direct all of your 2024 Ohio State income tax payment to Catholic education at St. Charles.
(Donations must be made by April 15, 2025
to be eligible for a 2024 state tax credit.)
